Society Failed Us When The Value of The Woman Was Taken Away
It was no longer “enough” to be at home, raise and teach children, and tend to the home and land. There is an obvious double standard for women now. We must do it all. Leaving out one thing is too much. You will be deemed a failure.
Women Are “Replaceable”
Society plummeted when women were deemed replaceable. Submitting yourself to your husband’s every whim is not what God intended. We are supposed to live integrated lives, each piece working together in harmony. God did not create women to be procreating doormats. God chose women to bear fruit and build His kingdom.
We revere Mother Mary so very highly, why should we not also revere ourselves? If we are to strive to be like her, should we not also be recognized as leaders, creators, and facilitators of God’s kingdom?
Women are not replaceable. We are the vehicles of God’s love, compassion, mercy, and grace. Mary followed God’s call and design for her. Before, during, and after she held her son’s lifeless body in her arms. Was Mary going to let Joseph tell her how to grieve? Or how to live or worship? No. They both understood her worth and contribution. She is the Mother of God, she told Jesus to perform miracles. Why do we sell our influence as something much smaller than it really is?
A Proverbs 31 Woman
Take Proverbs 31 for example, does a woman truly embodying that chapter allow someone to speak down to her? Does she allow someone to treat her in a way that does not reflect her worth? No. This woman stands up for herself and others. If we refuse to stand up it only proves that we don’t honestly believe in our worth, and in turn, we don’t believe in achieving God’s ultimate design for us.
I ask you to stand up for your worth. Reclaim it, and become the woman God created you to be. Show up in such a way that will inspire everyone you meet. Fighting in this war against our culture will save us and future generations from empty lives void of meaning.
You don’t know what you don’t know right? Well, now you do know.
Change the Future
Don’t let your children watch people degrade your worth as they grow and develop. Teach them that their worth matters. Teach them that every part of who they are matters. The best way to teach is by influence, so become the woman that believes in every aspect of herself. Own your worth.
