Episode #3: There Is Always Time For YOU
You can figure out how to make time for you, even if it feels impossible.
I took a 3-month break after recording this episode to PROVE to you that you can absolutely make time for yourself! Just kidding — I was taking my own advice and stepping back… But take it as a sign if you need one!
After a much-needed break, I’m returning with new episodes of the “While The Baby Sleeps” podcast. In this episode, I share about asking for help when you need it, stepping back without guilt, and some foreshadowing of what was the busiest summer of my life!
In this video, Iโm exhausted, hormonal, and stretched thin as a 3.5โ4 month postpartum mom. Itโs real and vulnerable, but Iโm sharing it because we all go through it โ and maybe seeing it from my side will help you feel less alone.
Hereโs what I want you to know: when I said โjust ask for help,โ I knew it wasnโt easy โ because I was living it. I was in the middle of fighting old cycles, wrestling with pride, and confronting the part of me that believed asking for help meant I was failing.
I didnโt want to step away from the podcast I had just started.
I didnโt want to stop writing weekly emails.
I didnโt want to ask my husband, who was already giving so much, to give more.
But I had to.
I had to face the short-term โinconvenienceโ so I (and my entire family) could come out on the other side healthy, strong, and whole.
If youโre in that same season โ tired, stretched thin, trying to hold everything together โ I hope this episode reminds you that asking for help isnโt weakness. Itโs wisdom.
