Episode #6: Why you keep going back to chaos
When life finally starts feeling easy, do you ever catch yourself waiting for something to go wrong?
Iโve been there.
In this episode, I open up about a season where things are calm โ almost too calm โ and how that quiet has stirred up old fears I didnโt realize were still living inside me. For most of my life, peace meant the other shoe was about to drop. Chaos was familiar, and calm felt unsafe.
Using parts work, Iโve been learning to sit with and speak to that broken version of myself, the one who doesnโt yet trust ease, whoโs bracing for something bad to happen. Instead of trying to silence her, Iโm learning to honor her, comfort her, and show her that weโre safe now.
Weโll talk about how to use parts work to build compassion for the parts of you that are still stuck in survival mode, and how faith plays a role in restoring peace to those places. God doesnโt just want us to survive chaos; He wants us to learn that calm can be holy too.
If youโve ever struggled to relax when life is good, or felt triggered by peace itself, this conversation is for you.
